Ingredients for 4 people as a side dish
- 1 cup (220 g) basmati rice
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ tsp salt (to taste)
- some ghee for serving (optional)
Instructions
Wash the rice several times in cold water until the water remains clear. Soak in cold water for at least 10 minutes, then drain in a sieve.

Stir with a ladle or wooden spoon.

Put a glass lid on and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Cook the rice covered for 10 minutes.

Then remove the pot from the heat and let the rice sit for another 10 minutes.

Shortly before serving, if desired, drizzle a few drops of ghee over the rice and fluff the rice lightly with a fork.

Tipps
